Pinwheels

🍽️ Bistro Steak Pinwheels - A Silo Springs Ranch Favorite! 🥩

We're excited to share a mouth-watering recipe featuring our favorite cut, the Bistro Steak! This cut is rich and flavorful, but if you can't get your hands on a bistro, feel free to substitute with skirt, flat iron, or flank steak. Here's how we do it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 Silo Springs Ranch Bistro Steak (or substitute cut)

  • Provolone cheese

  • Baby spinach

  • Real Amish butter

  • Sea salt

  • Garlic + onion seasoning (we love a touch of garlic powder, a little onion powder, and a fair bit of salt)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Steak: Lay the steak flat and generously apply a layer of Amish butter. Season to your taste—don’t skimp on the salt! We go with a dash of garlic powder, a bit of onion powder, and a healthy amount of sea salt.

  2. Layer the Good Stuff: Evenly spread baby spinach on top of the steak. Then add a layer of provolone cheese.

  3. Roll it Up: Carefully roll the steak up into a log and secure it tightly with butcher's twine (or cotton yarn in a pinch).

  4. BBQ Time: Preheat one burner of your BBQ to 250°F. Insert a thermometer into the thickest part of the pinwheel.

🚫 No Lid Lifting! We know it's tempting, but resist checking too often. It’s cooking—no one’s stolen it off the grill!

  5. Cook to Perfection: Grill until the internal temperature reaches 135°F. Then, remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  6. Slice & Serve: Although many recipes suggest slicing into individual pinwheels before cooking, we found it easier to keep the steak whole. Slice into pinwheels after resting for the perfect presentation.

Enjoy!

We hope you love this recipe as much as we did—we might have made three in a row... what can we say, you like what you like! 😊
